Here at Implexa Dance Company we are hugely enthusiastic about ensuring learners get the best possible education and opportunities out there. We are always looking to partner with primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and art centres to enable learners from ages 14 and over to join us and learn from us within our company environment. We can offer an young hopefuls a range of experience, from performing to backstage. This can vary from rehearsal practice, live performances and video filming, as here at Implexa Dance Company we are able to work on a range of locations for a variety of purposes.
Your students 14+ to join our team as an intern to get 'hands-on' experience, which can be seen as much more beneifcal for the learners experience. In this we offer the learners to move around the different areas of the company, e.g. performance, stage management, tehnical, admin etc. in order for them to understand the company as a whole and to have the opportunity to decide where their future interest and passion lies for future employment or educational decisions. If this is something you or your students might be interested in please contact us at email@example.com for more information.
Please see below for some of our current and previous partnerships which have proved themselves very successful!
Banbury & Bicester College Gen Y Project
An important element of Implexa Dance Company's aim and vision is concerning the education of performing arts, its role within society and the impact it has on the local community.
As part of that ethos we were in partnership with Banbury and Bicester College through their Gen-Y project and were working towards preparing the youth for employment within the performing arts. Within this extra curricular programme, the students got the chance to work along our own creative and production team, as well as, our dancers, to inspire and develop their skills and knowledge further in order to succeed in their own individual goals for the future.
The students got the chance to learn professionalism within the industry, new performing arts knowledge and skills, and transferable key skills such as, confidence, leadership, team work etc. We encouraged the students to think, learn and develop professionally, readying them for life after college in the performing arts industry, specifically looking at movement, dance performance, choreography, directing, design, tech and stage management.
At Implexa Dance Company, we believe that the versatile employee is becoming more and more crucial when achieving success within the performing arts industry, therefore, we provided the Banbury and Bicester College performing arts students with a well-rounded experiential learning environment.
This previous partnership and programme has been received extremely positively and was showing success in the progress it made.
